About ME

I write stories shaped by a lifetime of witnessing injustice, both personally and through my years as a social worker. My voice is raw, emotive and grounded in real experience—every story carries a piece of me.

As a mature-age student at UQ Brisbane, I discovered that writing wasn’t just something I did in dark moments; it was who I was. Since then, I’ve written multiple short stories, including one published in an anthology during COVID-19. This story has since been donated to the Queensland Museum. One other was recently shortlisted for the 2025 Sydney Hammond Memorial Short Story Competition. I’ve completed a full-length mystery/crime novel submitted to the Hawkeye Publishing Development competition. My second novel is steeped in Australia’s dark history.

I write from a world of injustice. Dark, atmospheric stories that could and have happened to ordinary people. My work is driven by truth and justice, with an emotional depth drawn from real life.

My goals are simple: keep submitting, keep improving, and keep writing.
