About Christine
I write stories shaped by a lifetime of witnessing injustice, both personally and through my years as a social worker. My voice is raw, emotive and grounded in real experience—every story carries a piece of me.
As a mature-age student at UQ Brisbane, I discovered that writing wasn’t just something I did in dark moments; it was who I was. Since then, I’ve written multiple short stories, including one published in an anthology and donated to the Queensland Museum, and another shortlisted for the 2025 Sydney Hammond Memorial Short Story Competition. I’ve completed a full-length mystery/crime novel submitted to the Hawkeye Publishing Development competition. My second novel, in the first-draft stage, is steeped in Australia’s dark history.
I write in the world of Murder Mystery and Domestic Noir, creating dark, atmospheric stories that could happen to anyone. My work is driven by truth, justice, and the emotional depth drawn from real life.
My goals are simple: keep submitting, keep improving, and keep writing—one new short story every week.
